I am interested in black entrepreneurship and the history of long-spanning dynasties and figures such as Motown, LaFace, Madame C.J. Walker, The Crisis, Cathy Hughes, Flava Unit, and Jeremiah G. Hamilton, the Prince of Darkness. I am especially interested in micro seed funding in minority communities. I see my work as institution building with an emphasis on literature and social infrastructure. My talks range from women and money and transparency to how to be a feminist employer to cultural publicity to social media for writers.
